I think I'm stuck in the "periodic productivity" cycle at the moment. Better than nothing?

I had a good chat with one of the PhDs at my university, and he pointed me in the right direction on some theory stuff. I'm realizing more and more how frustrated I am with my thesis adviser, bless her wee cotton socks. She's very intelligent, but she's also very busy, and I've hardly had any time to meet with her or to discuss/develop my ideas when I do see her, so having Mark to discuss theory with was very helpful.
